Pebble smartwatches have always taken a more basic approach when it comes to cramming functionality into a wearable. But for those hoping their Pebble was a little more capable as a fitness tracker, Tylt has designed a simple case that upgrades the Pebble Time with a heart rate monitor.
Recently, DCRainMaker started thoroughly testing the accuracy of the optical heart monitoring tech that’s becoming available as time goes on. The reviews identified the HRM inaccuracy in FitBit products before a lawsuit was taken up about it. To date, the only optical HRM sensor worth it’s salt is the Mio but few are licensing to use it sadly. If Garmin is having difficulty getting it right, I have no hope for a product like this.
