Food labels are notoriously confusing—but what if they simply told you how long it might take to burn off the calories you’re about to consume?
Really? I mean in most countries it already breaks down the GDA of energy, fat, carbs, protein, and salt, along with how many grams of each per serving and container. Then clearly separate is the ingredients and allergens. I’d say that’s pretty easy to grasp.
Plus how much you burn has so many variables, I get it’s an average, and that’s fine, but I also feel something should be mentioned about how everyone has a BMR, so up to a certain number of calories will be burnt off just by your bodies functions, even if you do absolutely nothing all day long. “Eat a bar of chocolate? Still 200 calories under your BMR? You’re probably fine.”
