Peaches: Oven Roasted

These taste like peach pie without the crust. It’s healthier and absolutely delicious!

Serves 4 (two halves per person).

Health Information


  • Baking pan
  • Slotted spoon


  • Peaches: 4 fresh
  • Brown sugar: 3 tablespoons
  • Butter/Margarine: 1 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon: 1 tablespoon (omit if allergic)


Food Preparation

  1. Cut the peaches in half, and take the pit out
  2. Mix the brown sugar and butter/margarine together
  3. Spoon the mixture in the middle of the peaches where the pits were
  4. In a baking pan, put about 1/2 an inch of water
  5. Put the peaches half’s on the baking pan, in the water


  1. Preheat oven at 350° F
  2. Cook for 35 minutes
  3. Remove from water. using a slotted spoon
  4. Let cool for 5 minutes
  5. Take the peel off
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon
  7. Serve warm with a side of vanilla ice cream/frozen yogurt, a drizzle of honey and/or a side of Greek yogurt


  • Hard peaches will need to cook longer – try 45 minutes minimum
