Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato…  It’s a classic.

Prerequisites

  • Frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Sifter

Ingredients

  • Bacon
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Whole Grain English Muffin
  • Guacamole (recipe)
  • Blue cheese
  • Cornmeal
  • Whole wheat flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

Food Preparation

  1. Combine cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper via sifter
  2. Slice tomato
  3. Cut blue cheese slice(s)
  4. Cut English muffin if necessary
  5. Apply guacamole to English muffin

Cooking

  1. Cook bacon
  2. Remove bacon, placing it on paper towel on a plate to capture run off fat
  3. Dredge tomato slices in the dry mixture
  4. Place the tomato slices in the pan with the still warm bacon grease for 1-2 minutes per side
  5. Assemble BLT sandwich
