Chicken: Bacon Wrapped, Stuffed

How to stuff a chicken breast, cooking it wrapped in bacon.

Prerequisites

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Baking sheet, deep
  • Aluminum foil
  • Frying pan

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts: 2x, skinless, boneless
  • Bacon: 4 slices
  • Onion: 0.25 cup
  • Mushroom: 0.25 cup
  • Garlic: 1-2 cloves
  • Cheese: 0.25 cup, shredded
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

Food Preparation

  1. Mince/crush/press the garlic
  2. Butterfly the chicken breasts, cutting a pocket (video)
  3. Salt/pepper chicken breasts
  4. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil

Cooking

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Saute onion, mushroom, garlic (recipe)
  3. Mix cheese with saute
  4. Stuff the saute mixture into the pocket
  5. Fold the breast onto itself
  6. Wrap each folded breast with 2 slices of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary
  7. Place on a deep baking sheet
  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes, depending on thickness of rolls
